Way Too Early 2025 NFL Draft QB Rankings

Nothing like a Way Too Early look at the 2025 NFL draft, we aren't even in April of 2024 yet so why should you care about the next draft class, all I will say is these are the guys you will want to play as in EA Sports College Football 25.

Take this as a Way Too Early look into both the 2025 NFL Draft and EA Sports College Football "rankings"

  1. Quinn Ewers (Texas):

This shouldn't be a surprise to most since Quinn Ewers is one of the most popular names in College Football in 2024. With a lot of stars leaving college for the NFL Draft other stars will need to rise to the national spotlight and Quinn Ewers has a head start with a playoff appearance already under his belt. Ewers will be the favorite for almost every preseason quarterback award including the Heisman. Ewers had a massive jump in play from 2022 to 2023 so many are expecting another jump in 2024. Ewers arm is the real deal and will make scouts' jaws drop. Ewers is still a very raw prospect who has a lot to work on but made a smart decision to return to Texas in 2024 instead of entering this years NFL Draft.

QB Comparison: Phillip Rivers

College Football 25 Rating Prediction: 96

2. Carson Beck (Georgia):

Carson Beck has everything you want in an NFL quarterback, 6'4", great arm, solid mobility, and a great football IQ. Beck had to sit behind Stetson Bennett and finally got his chance to lead the Dawgs in 2023 where he had a great year but fell short in the SEC Championship to Alabama and would miss the playoffs. Beck is a weird prospect right now since he plays solid on Saturdays but I think he was often looked over because of other quarterbacks last year in College Football. A lot of the spotlight for Georgia will be on Beck so he needs to show up with a lot more eyes on Beck as an NFL Prospect. I could see Beck fall in draft rankings depending on how he plays in 2024 especially if quarterbacks like Shedeur Sanders and Drew Allar who are more physically gifted start off strong.

QB Comparison: Walmart Matt Ryan College Football 25 Rating Prediction: 95

3. Shedeur Sanders (Colorado):

There is no nepotism here with Shedeur Sanders ranked as my third best QB prospect. Sanders proved at Jackson State and especially at Colorado that he is a big time QB who deserves to be an NFL Quarterback. Sanders is a special athlete and could easily be a massive riser in this draft. He was criticized a lot for taking a lot of sacks which he will need to improve but also will need to win more. Drake Maye had a decent UNC team in the Top 10 for two straight years so Shedeur should be able to get a solid Colorado team at least into a bowl game. Shedeur is gifted but still needs to scouts more. This QB class can be one of the best of all time but it all relies on some of these project guys to show up in 2024.

QB Comparison: Deshaun Watson (pre you know what)

College Football 25 Rating Prediction: 94

4. Grayson McCall (NC State):

I'm 100% higher on Grayson McCall than a lot of other "analyst" but I really think McCall will have a monster year at NC State which will sky rocket his draft stock. NC State has brought in a lot of stars through the transfer portal, McCall will be surrounded by weapons on offense including some All-American level players in KC Concepcion and Justin Joly. McCall has proved he's one of the best quarterbacks in college at Coastal Carolina and now in his final season he will be on a bigger stage with an opportunity to win the ACC. McCall is a great dark horse pick for the Heisman. McCall has great athleticism with an underrated arm. Accuracy has always been McCall niche so you won't have to worry about a lot of turnovers with McCall. McCall has a lot to work to do this year at NC State but he's capable of living up to the expectations if not go above and beyond expectations.

QB Comparison: Walmart Matthew Stafford

College Football 25 Rating Prediction: 90

5. Drew Allar (Penn State):

Drew Allar is one of the most confusing College Football Players/NFL Draft Prospects. He has all the tools you want in an NFL quarterback but you only see flashes of it. Against Ohio State Allar was non-existent, and against Michigan it was a rollercoaster that ended up disappearing. A lot of people expect a lot out of Allar but he hasn't lived up to a lot of the expectations. I might be crazy but I'm once again buying into the Drew Allar hype for 2024, Allar wouldn't surprise me being the second quarterback taken in the 2025 draft. At the same time it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't get any looks in the draft and ends up staying at Penn State for what feels like an eternity. Allar needs a big season to stay relevant.

QB Comparison: Justin Herbert with accuracy issues

College Football 25 Rating Prediction: 88

Best of the Rest:

  • Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss): Fringe 1st Rounder right now needs a massive season

  • Riley Leonard (Notre Dame): Has injury concerns has a massive opportunity at Notre Dame

  • Conner Weigman (Texas A&M): Hasn't been on the field enough but when healthy Weigman is great

I can't wait to play with all these guys in EA Sports College Football 25 so don't opt out like Arch Manning who I can go on and on about.
